I’m sitting at my desk, and coworkers come by and casually comment to one another “So the Mets got BOUNCED last night!” and immediately, I think of you.

I guess the promise of wet food was not enough to convince the cats to help out mentally hazing. That, or the distraction of the knitting was too much.

At least you got the shawl finished. How did you do on the laundry and packing plans?

My purple shoes remain unfound. They have picked a very good hiding spot.

The laundry got done, but how dry my jeans are will depend on the apartment’s humidity level today. It rained all night, so they weren’t terribly dry this morning…

The packing is less done. I mean, I left myself a big note reminding myself of key things not to forget — like shoes or the wedding present. But overall, I wouldn’t claim to be packed….

That’s okay, as long as you have a list of what you need to bring, the actual placing of items into bags can happen in under 5 minutes. It’s probably not for the best that we both know this, but experience is a good teacher.

Well, it’s not that I have a complete list. Just a list of the most important things that I’d kick myself if I forgot, like the wedding present. But I left other things off the list, like the directions….

I’m just now reading your entry and I’m sure you’re well on your way to a weekend of fun. The shawl is lovely in all its fuzzy glory. I can’t beleive you were up knitting that late – well, maybe I can. Have a great weekend and we’ll see you on knitting Tuesday.
