sometimes seeing that alone can calm the most frantic of souls!

Well, while you rest, I’ll supply you with three beautiful things from my world:

1) Weezer’s ‘Pork and Beans’ video. A celebration of YouTube celebrities. The band brought together so many people made famous by their YouTube videos. Unlike South Park, which did what South Park does and made fun of them all, Weezer celebrated each of them providing a message of loving yourself for who you are and doing it in a catchy pop song.

2) Driving a Convertible. There’s something about driving around southern California with the top down and the ipod kicking out tunes from the Beach Boys or the Monkees that makes the perfect antidote to road rage. It’s no longer about getting where you’re going as fast as you can, but smiling and singing along while the wind whips your hair and just enjoying the journey.

3) Kitty Routines. Duke always spends a few minutes sitting or sleeping on our chests as we’re turning in for the night. Kady always jumps on the bathroom counter in the morning to help me shave. While any other time she doesn’t enjoy being picked up, she seems to enjoy suffering my attentions in the morning as I hug and squeeze her in response to her bumping my arms as I shave.
