Today, Carole asks for The First Ten Songs That Play On Your Favorite Pandora Station:
List the first 10 Songs that play on your favorite Pandora station. Or Spotify or whatever other music service you use. If you don’t use an online service then feel free to hit shuffle on your ipod and list the first ten songs that play. Or, if you don’t use any technology for music, go to your favorite radio station and list the first 10 songs that play. Get the idea?
Songza is my preferred free streaming service, in part because you can browse playlists by mood, activity (everything from barbecuing to falling in love to sleeping), preferred decade (it goes back as far as the 1920s), or genre, or the concierge can offer some suggestions based on the day and time, such as (during the day) waking up or working to music without lyrics or (in the evening) working out or getting ready to go out.
I’m playing at the office, so I’ll take the concierge up on its suggestion to play music for having fun at work and then further narrow it down to “Clearing Your Inbox: Pumped Up Hits.” These come from the “Get Pumped: Pop Anthems” playlist:
- “Believe” by Cher
- “Break Your Heart” by Taio Cruz
- “You Belong with Me” by Taylor Swift
- “22” by Taylor Swift
- “Forget You” by Cee-Lo Green
- “I Knew You Were Trouble” by Taylor Swift [Really, Songza, I like Taylor Swift, but thrice in six songs seems a bit much.]
- “Moves like Jagger” by Maroon 5
- “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by the Backstreet Boys
- “Last Friday” by Katy Perry
- “Alejandro” by Lady GaGa
Taio Cruz was the only artist I was unfamiliar with.
Feel free to play along in the comments if you’d like.
